Selfishness

I am encountering a co-worker that simply wants his own way. He works in another department, but tries to tell me and my fellow accounting co-workers how we need to do our jobs. Yet at the same time, he refuses to accept our input on how to accomplish tasks. I'll be honest ... it is extremely frustrating. I truly believe that most people simply want to do their jobs to the best of their ability. Neither I nor my fellow bean-counters need someone outside our department to tell us how to do our jobs, particularly when we are taking the lead on accomplishing a goal that is actually the responsibility of the department that is seeking to tell us what to do. My advice to myself ... remember who you work for.
